Coaching Staff 
Coach Willie McGowan enters his third year as the FDSH Girls Head Soccer Coach.  He was also the head coach for the boy's team during 2003-05.  During the past two years he has a 12-17 record and has gone 3-7 in conference play.  McGowan's coaching philosophy is to make practices competitive and game-like while instilling the proud sense of teamwork within his players through confidence and positive reinforcement.  He currently holds his NSCAA Advanced National Diploma, USSF 'D' License, and is currently working on his Masters degree in Coaching and Athletic Administration. 

Coach McGowan works full-time at Iowa Central Community College as the Head Women's Soccer Coach while also sharing duties as a Student Development Assistant within the Admissions Department. He lives in Fort Dodge with his wife, Jamie, and two children, Lukas (5) and Lexi (2).

Coach Brian McClain begins his sixth season working with Willie McGowan as an assistant soccer coach.  McClain was instrumental in developing players throughout the boy's program and had a big hand to play in the boys recording their first ever winning season and an unfortable victory over WDM Valley.  Coach McClain's duties include coaching the JV program while also being a calming influence on the sideline during games.  His major strength is being able to relate with the players and provide excellent advice in every situation.

Coach McClain works in the Fort Dodge School District as a Case Manager and a Youth Substance Abuse Specialist.  Coach McClain is married to his wife, Sam, and live with their two children, Mya (6) and Dominic (3).
